Coffee Mugs!
Marie’s Musings will have available for sale in August our new coffee mugs: one generic style that will likely have special appeal to women, and one for men. Both mugs will be sturdy but attractive in design, and will be available in a multiple of colors. A romantic phrase will appear on the front side of the mug (with Marie’s Musings’ logo on the opposite side) as follows:
- Romance… warms the soul. (16 oz.)
- Loving husband, devoted father, all man. (17 oz.)
The mugs will debut at the 2014 African Festival of the Arts that will be held Friday, August 29 through Monday, September 1, and available on the website after September 1. We’re excited, and we think you will like these new gift ideas!
We’ve now added six beautifully designed and elegant engagement
announcement cards (post card size, self mailer) to The Engagement Kit (which includes a small chocolate gift bag that says “Just Say ‘Yes.'”, Cerise (hot pink) tissue paper, a custom ring box, and a specially selected (for this occasion) romantic greeting card: “My Heart is Crying.” to enable the prospective bride and groom immediately to notify close family and friends of this important moment in time! While you can readily make this announcement via social media, Marie’s Musings believes that this occasion deserves a very special touch given its importance; and the cards also serve as a keepsake for the recipient! Finally, we’ve added a small package of tissue — often a much needed item for this emotional event! The Kit including the enhancements will also be available at the 2014 African Festival of the Arts, and will be available for order from the website October 1.
Romantic Things to Do!
Write a love letter! — Nothing is more romantic than the written word! And while sending a card is one way to show that special person in your life that you are thinking about them, have you ever thought about writing a letter? Maybe not, but just think about the possibilities. Writing a letter allows you to transmit your innermost thoughts, perhaps in a way you’ve not been able to in the past. A letter also serves as a testament of your love and devotion for all time. Just imagine giving your loved one the joy of reading your letter over and over again in the months and years to come – the letter being a keepsake they can savor in their heart for all time. It need not be a novel, just a reflection of what’s in your heart. Say it however you’d like, just say it with love. It’s a way to share like no other!
Date night idea! — You need not leave the house for date night! With just a little imagination, create a romantic atmosphere in your home: get some inexpensive candles, and/or small glass bowls with floating flowers (try the dollar store!); get a picnic basket and pack it with your favorite wine, cheese, fruit and crackers (and plastic plates and cutlery), and maybe a small round of cured, smoked meat or fish (Salmon? Sausage?); move the coffee table and spread a blanket and add several pillows to the floor; and dim the lights and add your favorite romantic music (jazz says romance like no other music!). Keep everything in the basket until time to reveal the surprise to add to the surprise effect — you might even want to add a blindfold! A romantic greeting card is another nice touch (and of course Marie’s Musings can help with that!). These special little surprise at-home date night activities that say “It’s time for us!” can be memorable with very little time, effort and expense. Just make sure to keep it going!
